All-ages and all-levels are invited to join us along two routes, as well as an optional bike route:
On the morning of November 2, 2024, we are conducting our fourth annual Walk for the Brave from Glover Park on the Marietta Square to various historic sites around the city. Offered as an “All Ages. All Levels” race, we offer two routes.
ROUTE 1: a modest walk to the Marietta National Cemetery and back Click here to view Route 1
ROUTE 2: a 10K walk along the Mountain to River Trail — a barrier-free urban trail — to the Visitor’s Center at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park and back Click here to view Route 2
A JOURNEY, NOT A RACE.
This is not a timed-race. We will have staggered start times with options of 1 mile, 5K, or 10K routes along a safe, outdoor environment. The theme for the walk is Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention. Registration begins at 8am; the closing ceremony will be at 11am.
Runners and cyclists are welcome on all routes.
